Struthers School Foundation President Dexter Hollen announced five Struthers teachers have received grants totaling over $15,000 from the Struthers Foundation for Educational Excellence this fall. “The Foundation was pleased to be able to award these grants thanks to the ongoing support from the community along with the generous donation from the Cafaro Foundation. We are committed to provide ongoing support to the students and teachers in the Struthers School System,” Hollen said.
Grant recipients were teachers at Struthers High School, middle school and elementary school in various subject areas. Funding was provided for a 3D printer, smart table, robotic equipment, and other technology to assist teachers in enhancing the education of all students in the Struthers City Schools.
“The school district is so appreciative of the hard work of the foundation committee and our staff. The good work of these grants actually reach our students and impact student achievement on a daily basis,” said Struthers Schools Superintendent Joseph Nohra.
